Held in the library of the Science and research centre Koper (Garibaldijeva 1, 6000 Koper), Wednesday, the 18th of January 2017, At 5.00 PM
The round table that will discuss the policies of World War II commemoration and in particular the violence that was carried out against civilians by the occupying forces in form of burning down villages for example, will be attended by: Borut Klabjan (moderator; Science and research centre Koper, European University Institute Florence), Katja Širok (National Museum of Contemporary History), Marko Klavora (Goriška regional museum), Igor Jovanović (Istarsko povijesno društvo), Vanni D'Alessio (Sveučilište u Rijeci, Università di Napoli) and Gašper Mithans (Science and research centre Koper).
The round table will be streamed live on the project website: www. http://www.burntinmemories.eu/ with a possibility to ask questions and shall be held in English.
The roundtable is a part of the Science and research centre Koper programme within the International Holocaust Remembrance day.
